PRODUCTION
Cellulosic origin
TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers obtained from renewable wood resources are harvested from certified and controlled sources in accordance with the strict rules of the "Lenzing Wood and Pulp Policy".
Sustainable production
TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers are produced through an environmentally friendly closed-loop production process that transforms wood pulp into cellulosic fibers with high resource efficiency and low ecological impact. This solvent spinning process recycles process water and reuses solvent with a recovery rate of over 99%. TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers, which received the European Environment Award in the "Sustainable Development Technology Award" category from the European Commission, have been certified as Biobased by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). In addition, all Lenzing fiber production facilities operate according to the Environmental Management and Occupational Health and Safety system (ISO14001, ISO45001).
TECHNOLOGY
REFIBRA™ Technology
Pioneering REFIBRA™ technology combines wood pulp from sustainably managed forests with residues from upcycled cotton clothing production to produce pure new TENCEL™ Lyocell fiber used in fabrics and garments.
Unlike recycled cotton, there is no loss of quality or performance in TENCEL™ fibers with REFIBRA™ technology.
Micro Technology
TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers with micro technology are extra fine and light cellulose fibers obtained from sustainable wood sources. Fabrics containing TENCEL™ Lyocell fiber offer effective moisture absorption to provide natural skin comfort, thanks to their micro technology, while offering softness and lightness for long-term natural comfort.

An environment unfavorable for bacterial growth

Smoothness
TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers have a naturally smooth touch. When viewed under an electron microscope, TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers exhibit a smooth surface area that allows the fabrics to glide gently over the skin.
Supply chain transparency
TENCEL™ fibers, with fiber identification technology based on a special production process, can be verified as original in the value chain through Lenzing tests. This identification method ensures the authenticity of TENCEL™ fibers while supporting transparency and traceability in the supply chain.
Carbon neutral
