We have an equity project titled “Improving Yarn Makeability and Performance Analysis of Agraloop™ Fiber in Short Fiber Technology” for sustainable and environmentally friendly product development carried out with Agraloop™.
Agraloop™
In Agraloop™, natural fibers obtained from agricultural crop residues are turned into fibers that can be used in Open-End and Ring technology, called Agraloop™ BioFibre™. Then, the cellulose fiber obtained from the stem and leaves is purified into soft fiber bundles ready to be spun into yarn by a special wet processing technique.
Produced using two special processes called DryRefined and Refined+, Agraloop™ BioFibre™ is blended with recycled cotton, organic cotton and Lyocell to produce Ring and Open-End yarns. Unlike cellulosic fiber, Agraloop™ BioFibre™ is a highly refined 100% natural fiber obtained from the stems and leaves of a variety of food and pharmaceutical residues, including oilseed hemp and CBD hemp.
Agraloop™ enables the production of high quality fabrics for apparel and accessories by converting agricultural crop residues into natural fibers for the fashion industry. In addition, Agraloop™ BioFibre™ fabric applications have a wide range of uses, from classic jersey and fleece to elegant luxury materials, durable heavy denim and canvas weaves with natural fiber performance properties.
Features
Agraloop™ BioFibre™ fiber developed by Circular Systems™;
- Agraloop™ mitigates the undesirable consequences of increased crop residues, such as depletion of soil nutrients, exclusion from local uses and overstimulation of production, with “The Crop Residue Standard” it creates.
- Burning leftovers from food and pharmaceutical products prevents them from being left to rot or being used in low-value industrial applications, allowing these raw materials to potentially meet a significant portion of current global fiber demand.
- It is produced using two special processes called DryRefined and Refined+, which is a waterless process, and provides savings due to using less water and processing with less energy.
- Recycled cotton, organic cotton and Lyocell etc. enables it to be blended with fibers to improve its sustainability and functionality.
- Producing energy and fuel from biomass has the "International Sustainability and Carbon Certification Plus: ISCC+" certificate, which is given to secure global energy and fuel resources for the future.
- Blending with different fibers makes it a stronger and longer-lasting product compared to cotton.
Blending Options
As Karacasu Tekstil, what: 3/1-28/1 scale; We produce yarns with other fibers such as cotton, viscose, modal, polyamide and linen or in special compositions in line with the requests of our customers. At the same time, we can make multiple layers of these yarns in the folding/twisting machines of these blends.
